In Korea the exam is held 6 times a year (January, April, May, July, October, November). Abroad it is held 2–5 times a year, depending on the region.

Taking the exam in Korea: sign up at topik.go.kr / Taking it abroad: check with your local registration body (Korean Education Center, overseas mission, etc.).
Upload a compliant ID photo and enter your English name exactly as it appears on your passport. If the English name differs, you cannot take the exam.
Choose the format (PBT/IBT), level (TOPIK I/II), and test center.
Pay the registration fee within the registration period and print your admission ticket before the exam.
Popular test centers can fill up right after registration opens. Set a reminder for the registration start date.
